A Chinese herbalist named Li Ching-Yuen was believed to have lived for 256 years.
He was born in 1677 and died on the 6th May 1933.
From the young age of 10, Li Ching-Yuen worked with herbs and natural remedies, learning from the ancient wisdom passed down through generations.
He wandered through the mountains, collecting rare herbs and concocting potent elixirs that promised vitality and longevity.
He lived off herbs like Ginseng, Gotu Kola, Goji Berry and Reishi.
He supposedly produced over 200 descendants and had 24 wives throughout his lifetime.
Li was asked what his secret was to longevity. This was his reply: “Keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon and sleep like a dog.”
This is how we understand it.
